Well it’s nearly that time of year again when the amazing Royal Ascot begins across the pond and I have to admit it is the one I look forward too the most as my clients pull out all the stops for the week of racing.
When my husband and I went over as guests of one of my clients we enjoyed every second of the style, atmosphere and of course horse racing. Ascot is another level. The racecourse is world class as are the women and men dressed up for the occasion.
This is an old picture of me in the Royal Enclosure 2013 enjoying a race in the sunshine. I wore a Paper London yellow skirt with black Miss Selfridge Peplum jacket, black Louboutin heels (which killed my feet after 16 hours in them), an Alexis Bittar Lucite necklace and a large black disc hat with yellow roses and swirls. I know my colours were a bit bumble bee but I felt great in the outfit, the skirt was so comfortable and the length was appropriate for the enclosure and owners/trainers area so I was glad I chose it in the end. We were photographed lots and took plenty of photos from the second we arrived. It was our first visit to Ascot and certainly won’t be our last. We won’t make it this year but fingers crossed it is on the to do list again for next year, it really is a must! Looking forward to seeing the style again this year and popping some images up on my instagram and twitter during the event. Roll on June!!
